AMETEK Solidstate Controls has always been energized by meeting the challenges their clients face and delivering power quality solutions specific to their needs.
Solidstate Controls recently expanded their reliable industrial battery charging solutions with the modular Ascend High Frequency Charger. Designed with remote applications in mind, the Ascend modules utilize load sharing so even if one module stops working the output will continue running and an alarm notification is sent out. The modules are easily accessible, so replacement is quick and simple making for a low mean time to repair (MTTR). Ascend also features an animated LCD Touch Screen Display that shows the process flow, voltage, and alarm readings for quick status updates.
Meet the Team
Meet Daryl – a Senior Applications Engineer at AMETEK Solidstate Controls. Daryl has been with Solidstate Controls for 27 years and has held several different roles, including manufacturing Wireman, a graphic designer, Regional Sales Manager, and more. One of his favorite things about AMETEK Solidstate Controls is the people he works with. Daryl enjoys the challenge and variety of what he does and that almost every project is different from the last.
One of Daryl’s favorite things about AMETEK Solidstate Controls is the people he works with. Through long tenure and a dedication to motivating each other to succeed, he’s built lasting friendships. AMETEK Solidstate Controls encourages these bonds through company sponsored activities.
When asked what Daryl’s favorite memory is from working at AMETEK, he said “I’m not sure I can pick one! From cookouts to football games, golf outings and softball leagues, company picnics and Christmas parties, we have made a lot of memories over the years.”
“Being a custom facility, almost every project is different from the last. Solving a client’s complex needs through collaboration with some brilliant coworkers is definitely gratifying."
Giving Back to the Community
AMETEK Solidstate Controls believes that no success is complete without sharing and giving back to the community. Solidstate Controls holds various fundraising events throughout the year and supports several non-profit organizations across Ohio.
For the past two years, they have been the title sponsor for a local Make-A-Wish scavenger hunt at the Columbus Zoo and have partnered with them to make a local child’s dream garden wish come true. The Solidstate Controls team regularly donates bottled beverages and provides monetary support to Box 15 Club to help their mission of providing first responders with essential nutrients and hydration. The team also annually fundraises for and contributes non-perishable food items to the Byron Saunders Foundation who provides Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
